This angelica is a stunning, architectural plant that will add height and drama to the herbaceous border, with divided green leaves from purplish sheaths. With large umbelliferous florets in dark crimson. The tight heads are almost spherical, giving the impression of balls supported on their strong stems. These give colour to the border from June to early September reaching a height of 1.8m/6ft and make unusual cut flowers.
