Saxifraga whitehill
Saxifraga whitehill is an evergreen perennial with rosettes about 2.5cm across. The spoon-shaped, lime-encrusted leaves are silvery-grey, flushed red-purple at the base. Starry, white flowers 1cm across are carried in airy sprays on upright or arching stems from late spring to midsummer A stunning plant for alpine beds, pots, gravel gardens or scree gardens.
